Majlis gives confidence vote to road minister
EghtesadOnline: Majlis representatives on Sunday gave vote of confidence to Road and Urban Development Minister Abbas Akhoundi to keep him after an impeachment session.
The Sunday impeachment session chaired by Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, out of 255 votes some 176 Majlis representatives voted against the impeachment, some 74 votes for the impeachment and some five abstained from voting, IRNA reported.
Therefore, the minister is reinstated to his post.
Akhondi pardoned for two train collisions claiming lives of 49 passengers for failure of his ministry.
