Tehran rejects US anti-Iran claims

EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Saturday dismissed the anti-Iran claims of the US State Department.

News ID: 740441

Qasemi was reacting to the statement of the US State Department which named and announced boycotting two Bahraini political activists, once again and wrongly leveling false and baseless allegations to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“The so-called advocate of democracy and human rights cannot be expected to avoid siding the despotic and human rights violating regimes, and not alleging unjustifiably and wrongly other countries like always and as in the past decades just for the sake of its short-term goals and instant pleasures. No doubt and surprisingly, the government, which distrusts a large portion of its people and is always struggling with them, seeks its security from foreigners and ultra-regional powers instead of relying on its people.”

According to IRNA, the spokesman said the allegations that Iran supports terrorism is unjust, unwise and fully politically motivated and even those raising the allegations are fully aware of the vain and untrue nature of them.

To the end of his remarks, Qasemi said the Islamic Republic of Iran is well-aware of the reasons behind raising such vain claims, which follow only specific political goals. “Irrespective of such wrong publicity and disgraceful charges, Iran will continue its constant policy, which is based on cooperation and partnership for campaign and uprooting terrorism in any form and anywhere, especially in the sensitive part of the world and it will absolutely continue its ceaseless campaign.”
