Iran, Armenia sign MoU on cooperation to fight corruption
EghtesadOnline: Iran and Armenia signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday to cooperate on ombudsman and the campaign against administrative and financial corruption.
According to IRNA, the MoU was signed by head of Iranian General Inspectorte Organization Judge Nasser Saraj and Armenian Chairman of Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan.
In signing ceremony, Judge Saraj applauded his Armenian counterpart and underlined continuation of good faith relations between the two governments and expansion of cooperation in supervising, inspection and campaign against financial corruption.
He termed ombudsman activities of the organization at the bilateral, regional and international level 'important' and said that Iranian position in Asian Ombudsman Association and its efforts to establish Asian Ombudsman Academy has special importance.
Judge Saraj appreciated good cooperation of Armenia about judicial cooperation and extradition of convicted persons.
Iran's Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Kazem Sajjadi was present in the signing ceremony.
