Turkish diplomat says JCPOA improved Iran’s int'l image

EghtesadOnline: Turkey’s Consul General in Orumiyeh Mehmet Bulut said the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) improved Iran’s image in the international arena.

Talking to IRNA on Saturday, he outlined his country’s position towards Iran’s nuclear deal with the West.

He stressed that in 2010 when the nuclear negotiations were going on, Turkey called for settlement of the issue through peaceful means.

He said Turkey is against any kind of insecurity in the region and condemns attempts to create tension in the region.

He hoped to see the speedy establishment of peace in Syria as well as other regional countries.

The Turkish diplomat further reiterated that the JCPOA will certainly help restoration of stability in the region.

As for Iran’s economic development after the nuclear agreement, he said he saw a bright prospect before the country as it will experience a great economic boom once big world banks get connected to Iran’s financial system.

Bulut further appreciated Iran’s positions towards the failed coup attempt in Turkey recently.

He said the country was experiencing calm days in post-coup period and stressed that no danger was threatening tourists on Turkish streets.
