President Rouhani calls for Muslim unity

'Unfortunately, the enemies of Islam by arming a group of criminals and terrorists under the name of Islam have drawn the sword against Islam and Muslims and make them (Muslims) confront each other,' President Rouhani said in a meeting with a group of Azerbaijan's clerics and thinkers in Baku on Sunday night. 

Pointing to the present reltation between Iran and Azerbaijan, the President said, 'The strong bond of the two nations and governments is their commonalities. Without those common points no cordial relations could exist between the two countries even with the help of any propagation or policy.'

'Common religion and culture are the source of trust and cooperation between Tehran and Baku,' President Rouhani stressed.
