President: 250 distinguished Iranians back home in 18 months

Speaking in a press conference in this southwestern Iranian province on Monday, President Rouhani said those brilliant minds returned home with support of his government that took office in August, 2013. 

Referring to the government's new policies on the knowledge-based companies, Rouhani said the Iranian elites are helping the country to follow up its policies. 

Most of those brilliant scientific figures have now been working in the country's knowledge-based companies or have established such companies, IRNA quoted the President as saying.

At present, 2,500 knowledge-based companies are working in Iran while being supported by the government, Rouhani noted.

President Rouhani arrived in Yasuj on Sunday for a two-day visit.
