Several terrorists surrender to Iranian security forces
EghtesadOnline: A number of terrorist elements have given up fighting and turned themselves over to the Iranian security forces during the fifth month of the Iranian Calendar year (July-Aug), says a provincial official.
Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency, Sanandaj Prosecutor General Akbar Johari said on Thursday that 17 people affiliated with anti-revolutionary terrorist groups and outlaws turned themselves over to the security and intelligence forces during the current Iranian calendar month of Mordad (starting on July 22 and ending on August 21).
Terrorist's surrender shows that the judicial and security forces are powerful in their fight against the anti-revolutionary groups, Johari said.
The Islamic system welcomes surrender of other members of anti-revolutionary groups and would continue its fight against those who fail to abandon their terrorist actions.
