Official: Iran developments in media spotlight following JCPOA
EghtesadOnline: After implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran's engagement with other nations has dramatically increased and this has been in the global media spotlight, says an official in Iran's foreign ministry.
Following the implamentation of the nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA, the world media are more interested than the past to cover news on the Islamic Republic, said Mehdi Aq Kuchian Head of the second bureau at the foreign ministry on Tuesday.
Aq Kuchian who was speaking on the sideline of the Yonhap photo exhibition in Tehran, said that interaction between Iran and world media has increased significantly.
The media themselves should help increase interaction through exchange of visits and setting up jointly-run projects, IRNA quoted him as saying.
The foreign ministry official then referred to the visit by a Pakistani media delegation to Iran and said that they have met with a number of Iranian officials.
According to Aq Kuchian, the Pakistani delegation, have also met with Mohammad Khodadi, Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency as well as Alaeddin Boroujerdi Chairman for the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of Iran's parliament.
