Tehran-Baku economic commission of prime importance: IT minister
EghtesadOnline: Minister of Communications and Information Technology (CTI) Mahmoud Vaezi has said that activity of Iran-Azerbaijan joint economic commission is very important as the two countries' officials are determined to develop cooperation in various areas.
Upon arrival in the Azeri capital on Monday afternoon, Vaezi told IRNA that the meeting of 11th joint economic commission between Iran and Azerbaijan is slated for Dec 28.
The two sides, as Vaezi said, are to review the decisions made during the previous economic commission held in Tehran, according to IRNA.
The minister added that a 100-member delegation from all over the country is accompanying him during his Baku visit.
He further referred to the pharmaceutical and car-making industries as the issues to be discussed here.
As the presidents of the two countries have already agreed, the Nakhchivan-Tabriz-Mashad railroad project will be launched during this Thursday, the minister noted.
Also, he added, there are other economic projects that will be reviewed during the Tuesday economic commission meeting which will open new chapter in bilateral ties.
The minister is also scheduled to meet with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev.
