Dramatic Rise in Zadehan-Quetta Rail Transport
EghtesadOnline: More than 6,300 tons of cargo were transported from Zahedan in the southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan Province to Pakistan’s Quetta during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21-May 21), registering a 4.2-fold rise year-on-year.
The commodities mainly included cement, bitumen, sulfur and residue wax, IRNA reported. Over 4,300 tons of goods were transported into Iran via railroad, indicating a 95% increase. Rice was the major imported commodity, according to Financial Tribune.
