Iran, South Africa cooperate in agriculture and fishery

EghtesadOnline: Director General of Hormozgan province Fishery Organization and representative of Agricultural Jihad Ministry Parviz Mohebbi said on Sunday that ground for scientific and technological cooperation between Iran and South Africa in the field of agriculture and fishery prepared.

Mohebbi said that the two countries may have good cooperation in the field of agricultural, fishery and forestry development, according to IRNA.

Given to South Africa‘s interest in trout cultivation, it is due that Iranian companies with experience in this field offers their experiences to the South African side.

Mohebbi underlined that Iran by having good capacities in the sectors of food industry, processing industry, aquaculture and agriculture, heavy industry of agricultural machinery and ship-building could be appropriate partner for South African farmers and businessmen.

By having 30,000 fishermen, 22 fishing ports with 1400 kilometers littoral strip, Hormozgan province ranked first among Iran's provinces in the field of aquaculture.
