Zarif says misunderstanding of identifying problems, most important issue in region

In a live video conference from Pretoria, South Africa, Mr. Zarif delivered a speech at the International Conference of Iran and Neighboring Regions which was held at the Iranian foreign ministry Studies Center.

"Currently, the most important problem in our region is the misunderstanding of identifying problems in the region, and sometimes wrong policies are being taken to address these regional issues," ISNA quoted him as saying.

"Iran has always tried to support dialogue, cooperation and also fighting extremism in the region," Zarif noted.
