Keyar city exports 3,600 tons of potato
EghtesadOnline: Director of Agricultural Jihad office in Keyar city Ebrahim Hematian said on Thursday that a contract to export 3,600 tons of potatoes to Iraq, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan has been signed.
He predicted that from 836 hectares of agricultural lands of the city more than 41.8 tons of potatoes is to be harvested, according to IRNA.
Hematian said that lack of using chemical fertilizers and pesticides are reasons for interests of the foreign customers.
Charmahal and Bakhtiari province produces 180,000 tons of potatoes annually.
