Iran's Non-Oil Trade With S. Korea Dips 9%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 1.7 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $1.45 billion with South Korea during the first three months of the current fiscal year (March 21-June 21), registering a 28.95% and 9.95% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.

The data have been culled by Financial Tribune from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest report. Iranian exports to South Korea stood at 1.44 million tons worth $747.67 million, down 30.44% and 15.25% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. South Korea was Iran’s fifth biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported gas condensate, butane, non-alloy metal/steel ingot and copper concentrates to South Korea during the three-month period. South Korea exported 260,049 tons of goods worth $712.27 million to Iran, down 19.34% and 3.63% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. South Korea was the third major exporter of goods to Iran during the three months. Imports mainly included auto parts, vehicles and machinery, Financial Tribune reported.
