17% Growth in Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Pakistan

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 736,089 tons of non-oil commodities worth $364.89 million with Pakistan during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), registering a 14.79% and 17.9% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.

The data were culled by Financial Tribune based on the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest report. Iran’s exports to Pakistan stood at 655,642 tons worth $281.64 million, up 30.35% and 61.09% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year.

Pakistan was Iran’s eighth biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported tar, oil gases, liquefied hydrocarbides and dates to Pakistan during the three-month period.

Pakistan exported 80,446 tons of goods worth $83.24 million to Iran, down 41.80% and 38.18% in tonnage and value respectively YOY, according to Financial Tribune.

Pakistan was the 22nd major exporter of goods to Iran within the three months. The imports mainly included semi-milled rice, sesame seed and pears.
