Rise in Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Italy

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 328,935 tons of non-oil commodities worth $401.15 million with Italy during the first three months of the current fiscal year (March 21-June 21), registering a 46.93% and 4.47% increase in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration reported.

Iran’s exports to Italy stood at 294,420 tons worth $144.28 million, up 65.66% and 64.31% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Italy was Iran’s 13th biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported non-alloy metal, steel ingot and semi-finished metal and steel to Italy during the three months. Italy exported 34,515 tons of goods worth $256.87 million to Iran, down 25.21% and 13.27% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Italy was the 11th major exporter of goods to Iran over the three months. The imports mainly included industrial furnace parts, baking equipment and tapware, according to Financial Tribune.
