Iran's Non-Oil Trade With India Declines
EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 3.75 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $1.72 billion with India during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 9.32% and 4.84% decrease in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.
The above data were released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration. Iran’s exports to India stood at 3.08 million tons worth $808.49 million, down 8.41% and 11.85% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. India was Iran’s sixth biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported urea, methanol and liquefied propane to India during the four-month period. Meanwhile, India exported 672,097 tons of goods worth $912.21 million to Iran, down 13.28% in tonnage and 2.37% in value YOY. India was the fourth major exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included semi-milled rice, coal electrode and tea, Financial Tribune reported.
