Non-Oil Trade With Thailand Tops $420m

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 882,078 tons of non-oil commodities worth $426.78 million with Thailand during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 16.08% and 30.07% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s statistics indicate.

Iran’s exports to Thailand stood at 773,966 tons worth $361.69 million, up 38.52% and 72.77% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Thailand was Iran’s ninth biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported metal and steel ingots, non-alloy metal and steel, and liquefied propane to Thailand during the four-month period. Meanwhile, Thailand exported 108,111 tons of goods worth $65.08 million to Iran, down 46.25% and 45.20% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Thailand was the 27th major exporter of goods to Iran during the period. The imports mainly included medium-density fiberboard, electrical equipment and air conditioning devices, according to Financial Tribune.
