Growth in Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Oman
EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 1.16 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $537.42 million with Oman during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 58.09% and 115.3% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s statistics indicate.
Iran’s exports to Oman stood at 899,303 tons worth $300.92 million, up 29.71% and 56.81% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Oman was Iran’s 10th biggest export destination during the period.
Iran mainly exported oil gases, hydrocarbides, semi-finished metal and steel products, and low-density oil to Oman during the four-month period.
Oman exported 267.28 tons of goods worth $236.50 million to Iran, up 499.09% and 309.74% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Oman was the 14th major exporter of goods to Iran over the four months, Financial Tribune reported.
The imports mainly included vehicles, field corn and pharmaceutical supplements.
