Non-Oil Trade With Hong Kong Grows 29%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 32,760 tons of non-oil commodities worth $105.84 million with Hong Kong during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 38.45% decrease in tonnage and a 29.18% increase in value compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s data indicate.

Iran’s exports to Hong Kong stood at 23,725 tons worth $69.05 million, up 49.62% and 35.42% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Hong Kong was Iran’s 22nd export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported saffron and different types of fish to Hong Kong during the four-month period. Hong Kong exported 9,034 tons of goods worth $36.79 million to Iran, down 75.82% in tonnage and 18.91% in value YOY. Hong Kong was the 33rd exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included storage devices, pharmaceuticals and electronics, according to Financial Tribune.
