Iran's Trade With Kazakhstan Rises 37%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 314,972 tons of non-oil commodities worth $81.41 million with Kazakhstan during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 95.46% and 37.64% of increase in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, the latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.

Iran’s exports to Kazakhstan stood at 185,574 tons worth $44.38 million, up 48.83% in tonnage and down 1.93% in value year-on-year. Kazakhstan was Iran’s 28th biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported pistachio, white Portland cement and dates to Kazakhstan during the four-month period. Kazakhstan exported 129,398 tons of goods worth $37.03 million to Iran, up 254.92% and 166.52% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Kazakhstan was the 32nd exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included beans and sheepmeat, Financial Tribune reported.
