Qeshm Exports Up 48 Percent
EghtesadOnline: More than 76,170 tons of non-oil commodities were exported from Qeshm Island’s ports during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Aug. 22) to register a 48% growth compared with the similar period of last year.
According to Qeshm Ports and Maritime Organization’s Director Ali Ashtari, a total of 2.42 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in the ports over the period.
Non-oil and oil products accounted for more than 2.63 million tons and 42,280 tons of the sum respectively, the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development reported.
Container loading and unloading at these ports amounted to 3,380 TEUs during the five-month period, registering a 14% rise year-on-year, Financial Tribune reported.
