Iran's Trade With Italy Tops $590m

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 389,963 tons of non-oil commodities worth $594.82 million with Italy during the first five months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Aug. 22), registering a 32.03% growth in tonnage and 15.42% decline in value compared with last year's corresponding period, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.

Iran’s exports to Italy stood at 332,364 tons worth $168.90 million, up 56.91% and 40.82% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Italy was Iran’s 13th export destination during the period.

Iran mainly exported steel to Italy during the five-month period.

Italy exported 57,599 tons of goods worth $425.91 million to Iran, down 31.06% and 26.99% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Italy was also the 13th exporter of goods to Iran over the five months, Financial Tribune reported.

Imports mainly included baking machinery and air pumps.
