Hamedan Chamber of Commerce Signs MoU With Iraqi Counterparts
EghtesadOnline: Hamedan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture has signed two memorandums of understanding to improve cooperation and trade with commerce chambers of Baghdad and Karbala during a visit by its 20-member trade delegation to Iraq, otaghiranonline.ir reported on Tuesday.
Traders of the two countries held business-to-business meetings prior to the signing of the MoUs and discussed the prospect of opening Hamedan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture’s office in Iraq, ways to maintain Iran’s share in Iraq’s market and how to tap into the potential of Hamedan Province in improving exports to the neighboring country.
Iraq overtook China as the main non-oil export market for Iran during the seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21-October 22, 2018), according to the figures provided by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration said. Iran’s exports to Iraq surged by 55% in value and more than 65% in weight to reach $5.73 billion to account for 21% of the total value of Iran’s exports during the period under review, Financial Tribune reported.
