Iran Earns $1 Billion from Transit of 14 Million Tons of Goods: IRICA Chief
The president of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said the country earned $1 billion in revenues from the transit of 14 million tons of products in the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2023).
EghtesadOnline: Mohammad Rezvanifar said the transit of goods from the country registered a 30% growth compared to a year earlier.
The deputy minister of economy further noted that 72 million tons of goods, valued at $42 million, were exchanged with 15 neighboring states.
Earlier, he had said that foreign transit of goods via Iranian land in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year registered a 29% hike compared to the same period last year.
