Iran’s Exports to Pakistan Up 16% in 1st Quarter of 2024
Statistics of Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce indicate that Iran’s export of non-oil products to this neighboring state in the first quarter of the current year (January to March) registered a 16 percent growth compared to last year’s corresponding period.
EghtesadOnline: Iran exported $286 million of non-oil goods to Pakistan in this period, the ministry said.
Pakistan had imported $247 million of products from Iran in the first quarter of the previous year (January to March 2023), the report added.
According to the statistics, Pakistan imported $95.6 million of products from Iran in March 2024, showing a 25 percent hike compared to the same period last year.
Pakistan had imported $86.2 million and $104.2 million of products from Iran in February and January respectively, according to IRNA.
Pakistan’s imports from Iran have had an ascending trend in recently years, with imports from Iran reaching from $372 million in 2020 to $944 million in 2023, showing a 2.5fold hike, the report added. / Tasnim
