Yemen Eyes Expanding Energy Relations with Iran: Envoy

Yemen’s Ambassador to Tehran Ibrahim Mohammed al-Dailami called for the expansion of energy cooperation between Tehran and Sanaa along with the exchange of scientific and technical know-how in the oil sector.

EghtesadOnline: Speaking in a meeting with Iran's Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Ahmad Asadzadeh on the sidelines of the 28th Iran International Oil, Gas, ‎Refining and ‎Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2024) on Friday, the envoy said Iran has managed to have commercial exchanges in the international arena in the oil sector in spite of sanctions.

The diplomat went on to say that private companies in Iran have high experiences on the exploration works, so "We can benefit from the capability in Yemen," Shana reported.

Iran's deputy oil minister for the international affairs, for his part, said, “In recent years, talks have been held between the two countries in the field of oil industry, and we will share all our experiences with this country.”

In addition to 1,500 Iranian firms took part at the exhibition, 250 companies from 12 countries have taken part in Iran Oil Show 2024, whose motto is “Petroleum industry, production leap and technological optimization”.‎

Participants from the upstream, intermediate and downstream sectors of the oil industry, along with associations and unions of oil industry equipment manufacturers, first-time producers NTBFs are showcasing their latest achievements in the exhibition which is the most important Iranian event related to the oil industry.

The 28th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition was inaugurated in a ceremony at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds on Wednesday, attended by Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji and senior managers of the oil industry.

The exhibition will run through May 11. / Tasnim
