Iran Pistachio Exports

Figures by the statistics agency of the European Union, known as Eurostat, show that the export of Iran's pistachio to EU countries has surged past €92 million in 2023.

EghtesadOnline: Around 123,000 tons of pistachios worth $1.2 billion were exported from Iran during the nine months since the beginning of the current crop year (September 23, 2017, to June 2018), registering a 10.8% and 50% increase in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of the previous crop year, the head of Iran Pistachio Association said.

EghtesadOnline: Some 96,000 tons of pistachios worth $852 million were exported from Iran in the nine months since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21, 2017), Deputy Agriculture Minister Abdolmehdi Bakhshandeh told Mehr News Agency.

EghtesadOnline: About 150,000 tons of pistachio worth $1.5 billion are estimated to be exported from Iran during the current Iranian year (started March 21), to register an 11% and 25% growth in weight and value respectively compared with last year, the head of Iran Pistachio Association said.

EghtesadOnline: Close to 16,660 tons of pistachio worth $173.66 million were exported from Iran to 56 countries, including the US, Ukraine, the UAE, Italy, Bahrain, Brazil, Bulgaria, Turkey, Canada, Qatar, Switzerland, France, Poland, Sweden, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Thailand, Japan, Romania and Hong Kong, during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22).

EghtesadOnline: Close to 460 tons of unshelled pistachio worth 223.5 billion rials ($5.9 million) were exported from Iran during the first month of the current fiscal year (March 21-April 20), according to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.

EghtesadOnline: Iran has exported $1.240 billion worth of pistachios to the world markets in the past Iranian calendar year 1395 (ended on March 20) to register a three percent rise compared to its previous year, IRIB news reported.

EghtesadOnline: Close to 141,500 tons of pistachio were exported over the last Iranian year (March 2016-17), registering a 20% increase compared with the year before, figures released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration and Iran Pistachio Association show.
