EghtesadOnline: The railroad to connect the two Iranian cities of Qazvin and Rasht has made 81% physical progress and is scheduled to come on stream during the second month of the next Iranian year (starting March 21), an official with the Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructure Company affiliated with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development said.

EghtesadOnline: Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi said the under-construction railroad connection between Qazvin and Rasht will be completed and come on stream by the end of summer.

EghtesadOnline: The long-awaited Qazvin-Rasht railroad project was officially inaugurated by the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday in the northern city of Rasht, Gilan Province.
