Iran Consumer Goods

EghtesadOnline: Iran imported $1.03 billion worth of consumer goods during the two-month period since the beginning of the current fiscal year (started March 21), registering a 2.7% decrease compared with the same period of last year, the chairman of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said.

EghtesadOnline: With around $43.7 billion, consumer goods accounted for 14% of Iran’s total imports over the last fiscal year that ended on March 20, 2017, the head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said.

EghtesadOnline: Consistently low oil prices and government plans to diversify revenue streams have turned investors toward other sectors of the Iranian economy. One of those to watch in the year ahead will be the consumer goods market.
