EghtesadOnline: A total of 141,139 tons of bananas worth $137 million were imported into Iran during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), which shows a 24% drop in weight and a 3% decrease in value year-on-year.

EghtesadOnline: Around 347,000 tons of fresh green or dried bananas worth $267 million were imported into Iran during the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sept. 22), registering a 40% rise in both volume and value compared with the corresponding period of last year, figures released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration showed.

EghtesadOnline: Iran will import 250 tons of Cavendish bananas from Philippines. The cargo will be carried from the Philippines’ Davao Port and delivered at Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan Province on June 30, the Persian daily Jahan-e Sanat reported.
