EghtesadOnline: Since the launch of the gold coin presale by the Central Bank of Iran on Feb. 17 to cool the market, some 600,000 coins worth 8 trillion rials($175 million) have been sold, the head of Banknote and Coin Issuance Department at CBI announced.

EghtesadOnline: A total of 302,511 gold coins were pre-purchased by applicants, according to Bank Melli, the lender in charge of implementing the Central Bank of Iran’s initiative to hold gold coin presale to balance rates in the foreign exchange and coin markets.

EghtesadOnline: The presale of Bahar Azadi gold coins priced at 14 million rials ($311) and 13 million rials ($288) respectively with maturity periods of six months and one year began on Saturday at Bank Melli Iran, as per the directive of the Central Bank of Iran.

EghtesadOnline: With the aim of stabilizing the gold market, boosting supply and facilitating easier access for people, the Central Bank of Iran is to start the presale of gold coins from Feb. 4, the director of the regulator's Office for Banknote Issuance announced.
