EghtesadOnline: Due to the surplus red meat production, there is no need for imports in the current Iranian year (March 2019-20) and the country can fully meet demand at home, says director general of the Central Union of Animal Husbandry.

EghtesadOnline: Iran imported 45,000 tons of red meat in spring (the current Iranian year’s Q1 from March 21 to June 21) to register an increase of 18,000 tons, or 66.67% compared with last year’s corresponding period, according to Alireza Rafiepour, the head of Iran Veterinary Organization.
