EghtesadOnline: Khorasan Steel Company set a record in monthly direct-reduced iron production, as it produced 128,029 tons of the steelmaking material in the 10th month of the current fiscal year (Dec. 22, 2017-Jan. 20), the head of the company’s direct reduction plant said.

EghtesadOnline: Iran became the world’s second largest direct-reduced iron producer in 2017 by producing 20.5 million tons of the steelmaking material, up 28.3% year-on-year, the latest data by World Steel Association.

EghtesadOnline: Shadegan Steel Plant’s direct iron reduction unit is scheduled to be inaugurated on Sunday by President of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization Masoud Karbasian.
