Removing roots of differences and promoting bases of unity among all Iraqi tribes would speed up victories in Iraq (against the ISIL) and uprooting terrorism in Iraq, he said in a meeting with the visiting Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri.
The Islamic Republic of Iran as it has stood by Iraqi nation and government in the past, would stand by them until the end of the process of fighting terrorism, he said.
According to ISNA, Rouhani continued that expanding bilateral consultation between Iran and Iraq is necessary for stability and peace in the region.
Salim al-Jabouri, for his part, said boosting bilateral economic cooperation between Iran and Iraq is necessary. “We should find new ways to develop cooperation and open new landscape in mutual cooperation.”
He said that expanding bilateral economic ties is in favor of the two nations as well as regional nations.
