Iranian animation in Busan int’l fest

EghtesadOnline: An Iranian animation named ‘Mobarak’ is going to be showcased in the 21st South Korean Busan International Film Festival.

This is the first real-animation of Iranian cinema which has already been shown in Montreal Film Festival.

The event is scheduled for October 6- 16 in Busan City, South Korea, reports ISNA.

The animation tells story of an old man narrator who makes a living with dolls whose personalities have been adapted from Iran’s ‘Shahnameh’.

Shahname, The Book of Kings, is a long epic poem written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi between c. 977 and 1010 CE and is the national epic of Greater Iran.

The old man has passed most of his time in the world of mythes and is worried about a day when black mythical characters take the world towards darkness and ruin.

The worry makes the dolls take actions and start taking measures along with his young grandchild. They start an adventure.
