Subsidized currency for basic goods will be provided / 10% increase in livelihood aid for retirees
The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare stated that it was decided to allocate the necessary foreign currency to ensure the supply of basic goods to prevent an increase in their final prices.
According to EkonomiOnline, Ahmad Madari, Minister of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare, after attending the government session this morning (Wednesday), addressed concerns regarding the potential rise in the prices of basic goods. He mentioned that this issue was carefully reviewed during a meeting of the Economic Coordination Headquarters, and it was decided to allocate the foreign currency needed for the supply of basic goods to prevent an increase in their final prices.
Regarding the pensioners' uniformity adjustments, the Minister explained that out of a total of 4.3 million retirees, 3.5 million do not require new orders. Over 80% of these individuals will continue with their previous orders, and a 10% increase will be provided to them as livelihood assistance.
He continued: "For the remaining 800,000 people, new orders are being issued."
On the issue of power cuts and their impact on factory operations, he mentioned that this problem is observed in various industries. Based on the President's decisions, steps are being taken to reduce electricity consumption.
Madari added: "The issue of power cuts due to increased consumption in factories has been raised multiple times in the government, and the Minister of Energy is expected to conduct the necessary studies and present a specific plan on this matter."
