According to Eghtesad Online, Mohammadreza Pourebrahimi, in his address at the first national digital currency event titled "Ramz Aati," discussed how the government is approaching the cryptocurrency sector. He emphasized, "We should not conceal the main issue. For nearly nine months, we have held continuous meetings with the government, stakeholders in this sector, and various ministries such as the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, which are responsible for issuing licenses, as well as the Ministry of Energy and the Central Bank, which must facilitate the identification process and related information regarding cryptocurrency mining. Additionally, various departments within the Ministry of Economy have been involved in discussions related to money laundering and other relevant issues. This matter has progressed significantly in terms of mining and has led to the drafting of regulations that you are aware of."

He added, "This summer, we have taken more initiative within the Economic Commission of the Expediency Discernment Council. Fortunately, last week, a draft was prepared in the Economic Commission with experts, professors, and national specialists. This draft will be developed into a complete and final document, which will ultimately be communicated by the Supreme Leader, similar to other policies. The use of cryptocurrencies and leveraging this capacity within our country's economic system is being specially considered. Essentially, we do not intend to hold the Central Bank responsible for cryptocurrencies; rather, we will establish rules and frameworks for this area to ensure oversight over operations. As outlined in Article 31 of the cryptocurrency system design, including the creation of a national cryptocurrency and its organization and application, the Ministry of Economy is tasked with pursuing this matter while the Central Bank is involved in the Supreme Council of Cyberspace."

Pourabrahimi continued, "God willing, our joint meetings with the government and parliament will be prioritized. As you know, once the draft currency policy is prepared and communicated, the government will have an executive program under each policy. Naturally, there may be a need for a legislative proposal to be outlined through parliament. We hope to create coordination between the pillars of the system, parliament, government, and also among various oversight bodies that need to be engaged. The reality is that today this capacity has been utilized for the development of many countries and has contributed to improving economic performance, especially considering our current conditions; it can be beneficial."

He added, "If we clarify whether we accept the cryptocurrency system or not, the problem will be solved. When will it be solved? When we can manage it even if we do not believe in it. We hope that with this approach and perspective that has been established within the economic sector of the government and by learning from other countries' experiences, we can determine a path forward and steer our country's economic system towards positive developments through regulation, transparency, informational oversight, and addressing all current limitations."
