Pezshkian travels to Bandar Abbas after tragic port fire

TEHRAN, Apr. 27 (MNA) – President Masoud Pezeshkian has departed for the southern city of Bandar Abbas on Sunday to inspect rescue efforts after the huge explosion in the port of Shahid Rajaei.

EghtesadOnline: The Iranian president departed for Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan Province onboard a plane on Sunday.

The the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society Pirhossein Kolivand said that the death toll from the Saturday tragic explosion at Shahid Rajaei Port, which was followed by a massive fire, rose to 28 on Sunday.

"Currently, 190 injured people are admitted to hospital, 20 of whom are in ICU wards," Kolivand said.
