Araqchi Denounces ‘Scourge’ of Israel in Region

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said he has traveled to Doha with a message of solidarity, declaring that Iran stands with Qatar and all Muslims against the scourge of Zionist regime that is terrorizing the region.

“I am in Doha with a clear message from the Iranian People: Iran stands with Qatar and indeed all Muslim brothers and sisters, particularly against the scourge that is terrorizing the region,” Araqchi said in a post on his X account on Monday.

The top Iranian diplomat has visited Qatar to attend a ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) about the Zionist regime’s recent military aggression against the Persian Gulf state.

Araqchi held separate meetings with his counterparts from Pakistan, Somalia, Egypt, Iraq, Qatar and Lebanon on the sidelines of the event.

The meeting of foreign ministers served as a prelude to the Islamic-Arab summit scheduled for September 15.

The Israeli regime on September 9 struck Hamas’s leadership in the Qatari capital, an act of aggression that has drawn widespread international condemnation.

Hamas confirmed that five of its members, including the son of senior leader Khalil al-Hayya, were martyred in the strike. A member of Qatar’s security forces was also killed./tasnim
