Iran Must Get Stronger amid Global Unilateralism: Spokesman

The US’ aggressive unilateralism has endangered international peace and security, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said, stressing that Iran needs to strengthen itself in the face of coercive global behavior.
Addressing an academic meeting in Mashhad on Wednesday, Baqaei warned that the US’ aggressive unilateralism has not only jeopardized international peace and security but also created a dangerous pattern of behavior.
“Today, the United States, through various actions including trade wars, seeks to impose dominance and force in international relations. All the masks have fallen, and they openly speak of what they have in mind. Iran’s resilience has been proven, but reason and logic dictate that we must further strengthen ourselves,” the spokesperson said.
He also pointed to the expansion of bullying behavior in the realm of international relations, stating, “Today, coercion has become one of the most frequently used concepts in global political and media discourse. This term… directly refers to the behavior of the United States and its allies—especially the Zionist regime—in the West Asia region.”
“This approach has caused tension and instability not only in regional relations but in the entirety of international relations. Countries across the world have suffered from the effects of these hegemonic policies, and this situation has created deep divisions in global interactions,” Baqaei warned./tasnim
