Iranian, Pakistani foreign ministers discuss bilateral ties over phone
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Pakistani counterpart, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, in a telephone conversation on Friday evening discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.
During the phone call, while appreciating the Pakistani government and people for their gracious hospitality to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the accompanying delegation, Araghchi expressed hope that the understandings and agreements reached during this visit will be seriously pursued and implemented at various levels.
The Pakistani foreign minister, while appreciating the visit of the Iranian president to Islamabad, informed Araghchi about the measures and follow-ups of Pakistani authorities to lift the detention of the Iranian crew of the Lenore-Davina ship.
The two foreign ministers also reviewed the latest diplomatic developments and emphasized the continuation of close cooperation and consultations with the aim of establishing permanent peace and stability in the region./irna
