GECF Chief: Iran is potential big player in world gas market

Adeli made the remarks in his speech to the ceremony marking the 50th Anniversary of Establishment of the National Iranian Gas Company.

Adeli said that the world gas market undergoes rapid changes and the world key players are emerging quickly.

Noting that the US was once gas importer but now has turned into a gas exporter, Adeli said the US exports gas to the Persian Gulf states.

He said that the United Arab Emirates has signed a deal with the US for LNG purchase and the first consignment of the US gas will be soon exported to the Persian Gulf destination.
