Iranian weightlifter gains bronze medal in 2016 Rio Paralympics
EghtesadOnline: Iran gained another bronze medal in 2016 Rio Paralympics on Wednesday as Iranian weightlifter Ali Sadaqzadeh ranked third in -107 weight category.
The medal gained by Sadeqzadeh was the 12th medal of the Iranian squad, reports IRNA.
In his first attempt, Sadeqzadeh lifted 226kg. Then in his second and third attempts, he lifted 234kg with difficulty which were not accepted by the jury.
The Iranian squad has won 4 gold, 5 silver and three bronze medals in the tournament so far.
The 15th edition of Paralympic games officially began in the Brazilian capital on September 18. Iran has attended the event with 111 athletes, 88 of them are men and 23 others are women.
