Iran capable of reversing to pre-JCPOA conditions: Atomic official

EghtesadOnline: Special aide to the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Asghar Zare'an said Iran is capable of reversing its current activities to the era before signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Zare'an made the remark while talking to reporters here in central Iran Saturday evening.
He said Iran has already devised measures to get back to the situation before signing of the nuclear deal any time it concludes other parties of the deal have been disloyal to their commitments, according to ILNA.
He said the state has nothing to worry about if compelled to reverse the course to the pre-JCPOA conditions.
Referring to the country's capability to produce 20% enriched uranium during the past years, the nuclear official said Iran is now well capable of producing the enriched uranium to what extent it wants thanks to the knowledge of the Iranian scientists and experts.
Saying that nuclear technology and knowledge has become quite indigenous to the country now, he urged all other sectors of industry to harmonize their activities with nuclear standards.
Pointing to the first anniversary of 'Implementation Day' of the JCPOA on Jan 16, the official noted that Iran has sold 70 tons of Arak heavy water to the US and Russia.
Annual production of Arak heavy water facility in west central Iran is 20 tons, the official said adding many of the European countries are customers of that heavy product.
