Greece to set up joint commission with Iran
ERghtesadOnline: Greek Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs Nikos Xydakis in a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi here on Thursday called for setting up a joint economic commission by the two countries.
During the meeting the ways for expansion of Tehran-Athens relations, specially in the economic field, were discussed, IRNA reports.
Takht-Ravanchi and Xydakis laid emphasis on the determination by Iran and Greece to broaden their economic relations.
The two sides also voiced their willingness to cooperate with third countries.
During the meeting, Takht-Ravanchi invited Xydakis to pay an official visit to Iran in the near future.
Takht-e-Ravanchi left Tehran on Sunday to visit Romania and Greece.
He met with senior diplomats in Romania and arrived in Athens on Wednesday to exchange views and discuss issues of mutual interests with Greek senior officials.
Ravanchi is to depart Athens for Tehran on Thursday evening.
