Five new platforms to be launched in South Pars by yearend
EghtesadOnline: South Pars is to launch five new platforms by the end of current Iranian year (to end March 20, 2017), a senior official said.
Deputy for Pars Gas and Oil Company Farrokh Alikhani said the volume of gas production will rise to 540 million liters once the platforms are launched.
Acording to IRNA, he said with the full implementation of the five platforms, the volume of gas to be extracted and produced from South Pars which is a common energy field shared by Qatar will rise by 100 million cubic meters.
According to the official, a total of 24 gas projects for gas extraction have be planned in this energy hub.
The South Pars energy hub will produce a total of 820 million cubic meters of gas when all projects become operational, he said.
