Iran gas production to hit $1.2bcm
EghtesadOnline: A top Iranian energy official said here on Monday that the country is seeking to double the level of gas production by the end of the Sixth Five-Yar Eonomic Dvelopment Plan (2015-2020).
Speaking in a press conference, Hamid Reza Araqi, deputy oil minister in gas affairs said the country gas production would hit 1.2 billion cubic meters by the end of the mentioned period.
Araqi also said the current daily level of the country's gas production is equal to six million barrels of oil per day.
Following the implementation of Joint Plan of Action (JCPOA), Azizollah Ramezani, the director for international affairs of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) announced that the country is set to produce more natural gas for exports to as far as India, China and Europe.
