MP: Iran influential power on international scene
EghtesadOnline: Member of Iran's parliament and head of Iran-Czech Republic parliamentary friendship group in a meeting with the first vice-president of the Czech Republic Senate on Monday described Iran as a regional power and influential country on the international scene.
The Iranian MP Mehdi Farshadan told Premysl Sobotka that as a regional power, the Islamic Republic maintains high potential on the global arena.
Farshadan expressed Iran's interest to enhance bilateral relations with the Czech Republic, especially ties between the two countries' parliaments, according to Reuters.
Following the lifting of sanctions against Iran, the two nations are expected to see a rise in their relations, especially in the banking field, he said.
