Platform B17 loaded in Bandar Abbas

The platform have been built by Iranian experts at Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Co (ISOICO).

The executive director of the Persian Gulf Mobin Sazeh Gostar Marine Structures Design and Construction Company and operator of the project for construction of the platform, Kurosh Bengar, told the ceremony that the platform have been built at a cost of 143 million dollars, repors IRNA.

Bengar said that the 2,300 ton B17 platform of South Pars was the fourth such platform in South Pars shared field, having the capacity to refine 500 million cubic feet of gas a day.

He noted that seven more oil and gas platforms are built by the company.

Bengar said that two gas platforms for phase 14 of South Pars and two oil platforms of Hendijan and three oil platforms of Hengam are now constructed.

He noted that as of June 21, the gas platform for phase 18 of South Pars, built in ISOICO, was installed in South Pars successfully.

The operator of the project for development of phases 17 and 18 of South Pars Hassan Boyeri said on Monday that the platform will be installed on November 10 and put into operation by late February.

Boyeri said once platform B17 is operational, phases 17 and 18 of South Pars will be fully operational.

Persian Gulf Mobin Sazeh Gostar Marine Structures Design and Construction Company, which is one of the four subsidiary companies of ISOICO, is located west of Bandar Abbas.
